Dr. Pingping Zhu (祝平平) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Marshall University, where he directs the Perception Intelligence Networks Group (PING). Previously, he served as a Research Associate in the Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Cornell University and as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Duke University. Dr. Zhu earned his Ph.D. (2013) and M.S. (2010) degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida. He also holds an M.S. degree (2008) from the Institute for Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence and a B.S. degree (2006) in Electronics and Information Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. His research interests span signal processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, intelligent control, and human behavior analysis. Dr. Zhu is a Senior Member of IEEE.
